What are we cooking?
We are definitely going to learn common things, like breakfast (scrambled eggs, sunnyside up eggs, pancakes, french toast, bacon, etc) and definitely much more like, lunch and dinner foods. (pasta, pizza, lasagna, tacos, etc) It honestly depends how far in the year we get. The more farther we get, the more we can teach you all more recipes.
We plan on teaching diverse dishes (because what better is it than to try food you haven't already??)
Why should I learn and start cooking for myself?
Assuming sometimes you buy take-out for dinner or eat premade unhealthy foods, you can choose what ingredients you use since normally take-out or premade food has much more unhealthy foods, such as sodium, unhealthy fats, and added sugars. Buying unneeded foods is honestly much more expensive than just cooking your own meal. Cooking is actually something that you could save hundreds of dollars on. Cooking for yourself is something that is rewarding, but also relaxing. It's also a good way to get closer to friends and family and spend qaulity time. Cooking is a valuable skill that can improve over time. It’s not just about making meals but also about gaining confidence in the kitchen and understanding food preparation techniques that can help you be prepared in different situations.
Cooking is a needed life skill. Being able to prepare your own meals would make you much less reliant on others or having to buy food from restaurants. Cooking even exposes you to different cultures. It can be a way to explore and appreciate diverse culinary traditions and expand your palate.
